1. About this app
MCFCBot Moderation is an independent app built on Reddit’s Developer Platform. It helps authorised moderators apply their community’s rules and safety settings.
The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Reddit or Manchester City Football Club.
2. Information we process
When the app is installed, it may process Reddit account, community, post, comment and moderation information needed to apply the features enabled by that community’s moderators. This can include public account activity and the content or context of posts and comments.
The app records limited information about its classifications, moderation decisions and moderator actions so those decisions can be reviewed, reversed and applied consistently.
3. How information is used and stored
Information is used only to provide configured moderation features, prevent duplicate actions, support moderator review and diagnose problems. Depending on the settings chosen by moderators, the app may classify accounts, remove content or restrict accounts.
App settings and moderation records are stored within Reddit’s Developer Platform. Records are limited and cleaned up when they are no longer required, although some may be kept for longer where needed to review or reverse an active moderation action.
4. Sharing and external services
Reddit hosts the app and supplies the information it is authorised to use. If moderators enable external notifications, they may contain limited information needed to identify and review a moderation event.
Cloudflare Pages hosts this policy website and may process routine web-request information under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. The app operator does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
5. Automated moderation and appeals
Automated actions occur only when the relevant controls are enabled by community moderators. Moderators can review and reverse supported actions. Users can appeal through the moderators of the community where an action occurred.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information. Requests about information controlled by Reddit should be directed to Reddit.
